History
An abstract of the family and winery history
Our agricultural family business is based on two locations - Senning and Bösendürnbach.
In Senning our operation is located on the former pastures of the church, which later had to give way to a bakery. In 1912, the bakery of the family Weinrichter was purchased, and after two years of renovation work and the outbuilding of a house, the conversion could be made into a farm. Karl and Anna Weinrichter took over in 1954 the management of the farm. Until 1981, the focus was placed solely on agriculture and animal husbandry. When the business was passed to their daugther Anna and son-in-law Johann Fitzka the agricultural focus changed. Johann Fitzka's family operates, in addition to agriculture and forestry, viticulture in Bösendürnbach since 1709. When his parents passed the operational work to the next generation Johann Fitzka was also given some vineyards which are located in the popular wine growing regions of Kamptal and Weinviertel.
The latest update was in 2003 when Felix Fitzka took over all the agriculture and winery.
