In 1981 the family Fitzka announced for the first time „Aus g’steckt is“, the wine taverne was born. Since then we attach great importance on handling regional and seasonal products. In the past 30 years the range of food and drinks continuously increased and today we are happy to offer our guests ten different wines in variant qualities, such as Spätlese (late harvest wine), Auslese (selection) or Kamptal DAC Reserve, and numerous types of for our region characteristically food specialities.
You will find classical meals like Surbraten (pickled roast pork), Geselchtes (salted and smoked pork), Blunzen (blood sausage) or greaves in our menu, but also almost forgotten specialities such as Schmerstrudel (sweet strudel with pork kidney fat as basic). Vegetarians as well do not have to leave our tavern hungry as we also offer different cheese plates and varying other vegetarian food like vegetable terrine.
All meat and sweet dishes are lovingly self-made, our own chickens produce the eggs which we need for our offered food. Additionally we offer a selection of liqueurs and schnaps, grape juice and apple-pear-juice from our in-house production.
In the summer 2012 we finally could open our new accessible tavern building. Here we have a only a non-smoking area, a regular’s table, a children’s play corner and toilets including baby change unit for our guests disposal. During fair weather our guests love to take place on a table in our inner yard which is outlined by numerious oleander bush.
